I actually wanted to publish this addition to the article about the PIG series much earlier. But then I came across some other interesting artists. Now, it is finally online. The short series Ward L’Invisibile is by the same artistic team as “PIG”. Following the success of PIG (1983–1988), another superhero story was planned, but after nine adventures (1988–1989), it ended. The last two adventures were only included as supplements in other series. Yet the premise was promising. An invisible man with a lustful appetite is the perfect material for dirty jokes and porn clichés. However, the spark didn’t seem to catch on with readers.

Eigentlich wollte ich diese Ergänzung zum Artikel über die Serie PIG eher online stellen. Doch dann kamen andere interessante Künstler dazwischen. Nun ist er aber endlich online. Die Kurzserie Ward L’Invisibile ist vom gleichen künstlerischen Team wie „PIG”. Nach dem Erfolg von „PIG” (1983 bis 1988) sollte eine weitere „Superhelden”-Geschichte folgen, doch nach insgesamt neun Abenteuern (1988 bis 1989) war wieder Schluss. Die beiden letzten Abenteuer wurden sogar nur noch als Supplement in anderen Serien beigelegt. Dabei war die Prämisse doch vielversprechend. Ein lüsterner Unsichtbarer ist der perfekte Stoff für dreckige Zoten und Porno-Klischees. Doch der Funke sprang beim Leser wohl nicht über.
Als Ergänzung wollte ich dieses Schmankerl der Fumetti-Geschichte nicht unerwähnt lassen. LINK

The number of 3D artists is huge. Several web platforms have emerged that churn out new series and illustrations on a weekly basis. In the process, artistic thought often falls by the wayside. But there are exceptions. One example is the featured artist Pegasus Smith.
Auf meinen Seiten wird endlich Pegasus Smith präsentiert, einer der ersten 3D-Künstler in meinen Vorstellungen. Ich bin seit Jahren Fan seiner Arbeiten. Gerenderte Comicseiten sind seit Langem ein fester Bestandteil des (erotic comic) Genres. Etliche Künstler, die möglicherweise kein oder wenig Talent zum Zeichnen besitzen, aber durchaus fähig sind, erotische Szenen zu kreieren, bekommen durch Programme wie Blender, Poser und DAZ Studio die Möglichkeit, ihre Fantasien und Geschichten umzusetzen. Die Anzahl an 3D-Künstlern ist riesig. Es sind etliche Webplattformen entstanden, die fabrikartig neue Serien und Illustrationen im Wochentakt herausgeben. Dabei bleibt der künstlerische Gedanke oftmals auf der Strecke. Doch es gibt Ausnahmen. Ein Beispiel ist der vorgestellte Künstler Pegasus Smith.

Klaus Lelek’s new graphic novel is a satire about German fear, but also about the German obsession with controlling and monitoring everything. It helps to know that FKK stands for Freikörperkultur, a standard German term for naturism, increasingly under threat in an overcrowded nation. The English translation is a little idiosyncratic, but matches the fable perfectly.
